Our STORY

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15)

“Some people see church as a building, some as a religion… We see the local church as a family.”

Vlado-Zak
Father’s house is a missional community of believers – spiritual family of sons & daughters who have encountered the love of God and want to share it with the world. We are based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The story of the Bible has always been and will always be a story of God as a loving Father that is calling his lost sons & daughters back home. God did not send his son Jesus Christ to judge the world but to save it. Jesus – the Son of God came to show us the way back to the Father so we wouldn’t live as spiritual orphans. God is good, full of mercy and love and is waiting for His lost children to find their way back home.

Father’s house is our expression of what can a local church of God’s children look like. It is our spiritual home where we experience the open arms of our Heavenly Father and where we learn how to love people around us through the love He has given us. Everything else is secondary. We are not interested in religion or empty forms. What we are after is simply an honest relationship with our heavenly Father through the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ and the fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

The vision of the Father’s House fellowship was received by his founder & pastor Vlado Žák in October 2012 in the House of Prayer in Jerusalem. It is not based on human ambition or an attempt to create a „more original“ or „better“ church fellowship. Planting the Father’s house in April 2015 was a simple step of obedience in response to to God’s calling to see more and more sons & daughters arise in our city and country – children of God who have discovered the goodness of our God and for whom has the „whole creation been eagerly waiting.“ (Romans 8:19).

Are you one of them?
